Sítio Bom Destino is located at 850 meters of altitude and was bought by Mr. Garino Bissoli five years ago. The region is mountainous and the average temperature is 22oC, with a maximum of 30oC and a minimum of 12oC. The property has a preserved area of the Atlantic Rain Forest, which occupies approximately 3 hectares. Two water sources supply water to the property, which in addition to coffee, produces corn, beans and banana.
The Bissoli family, of Italian extraction, colonized the southern part of the State of Espírito Santo at the end of the 1880s. The tradition in coffee production in the region is strong and Sítio Bom Destino shares this tradition.

The labor force lives in the village and provides services to the property. The property is family-managed, as are the other small properties of the region.

Coffee processing system:
Coffee is harvested into sieves and cloth, pulped and desmucilaged on the same day it is harvested. The levels of mucilage removal are regulated according to weather conditions of the period. The coffee is initially dried on a covered and cemented terrace, and the process is completed with the use of dryers which belong to the property. Special care is given to washing the terrace and to turning the coffee, which guarantee the quality of the coffee.

Quality concerns:
Guarino Bissoli frequently attends seminars, symposia and lectures to update himself and constantly improve the coffee production techniques used in his property. The producer also availed himself of the high quality coffee production guidelines offered by the technical director of Coffee Producers Association of Venda Nova do Imigrante (Certicafé/PRONOVA), Evair Vieira de Melo - who accompanied the harvest and coffee preparation, offering guidance on techniques and pieces of equipment required to obtain a high quality coffee.

Statement by the producer about the Brazil Cup of Excellence Competition and Auction: "The experience of being among the competition winning farms, for the first time, is a great encouragement to invest more and bet on perfecting our methods, constantly searching to improve quality and conquer new markets".
